Student Care and Well-Being
The Office of Student Care and Well-Being (SCWB) at The University of Alabama is a unit of the Dean of Students Office that provides assistance and case management for student(s) facing a crisis while on campus. Students who find themselves a victim of hazing may be able to access support from SCWB.
- Their hardship assistance page can connect students to financial, technological and food-related assistance during a time of need.
- The immediate crisis care page can connect students to campus resources and on-call professionals after an immediate emergency has been properly handled by UA Police Department or another appropriate organization.
- The academic advocacy and assistance page explains how Student Care and Well-Being can assist students when they are absent from class.
SCWB assists students on a case-by-case basis. If you or someone you know is struggling mentally, physically or academically as a result of hazing, contact the SCWB office at 205-348-2461 to learn how to find help.
