Description
Alpha Tau Omega new members were made to engage in acts of personal servitude for active members and were forced/coerced to consume alcohol. New members were subjected to demeaning acts and personal items were taken from them.
Rules Violations

Findings
Hazing: Consumption of Alcohol; Mental Health Threat; Lack of Access to Personal Items (Phones)
Sanctions
- Disciplinary probation from 9/12/23-12/13/24
- Required educational sanctions, including, but not limited to 90% member completion of bystander intervention training
- Social probation until January 1, 2024 (per inter/national organization) with new member-only, alcohol-free social events allowed until that time
- Required revision of new member education program
- Membership review (11 members removed)
- Officer suspension and/or removal
- Work with 3rd party consultant to review health and safety policies and practices
