The following entries catalogue the hazing violations that have occurred among all University student organizations over the last four years. Each situation is unique and all allegations are addressed on a case-by-case basis. The University’s response to the noted situations does not create binding precedent but may guide its handling of any similar situations that may arise in the future. This website will be updated at the end of each semester and as information is available for resolved cases where an organization was found responsible. Records will be removed from this website after four years at the end of the fall or spring semester that is four years from the hazing violation.

Rules Defined
Please refer to the Code of Student Conduct for the standards by which students must conduct themselves, including:
- Article III.B.(2)a. – Hazing provides a definition of hazing and how it violates University policy.
- Article III.B.(2)b. – Knowledge of Hazing describes how failure to take appropriate action after becoming aware of hazing is a violation of the Code of Student Conduct.
- Article III.A.(4) – Published Policies establishes that violation of University policies, including the Hazing Policy, is an act of misconduct subject to sanctions found in Article V.D.
- Article III.B.(5) – Threatening Behavior describes how any threats to person or property are not permitted.
- Article III.A.(1)a. – Acts of Dishonesty: False Information establishes that providing false information to UA officials or office is also an act of misconduct.
Alpha Kappa Lambda
Fall 2022

Description
Alpha Kappa Lambda new members were required to participate in line-ups intended to demean and intimidate. New members were subjected to sensory deprivation by sitting/standing in the dark with flashing lights. New members forced to consume unknown food/liquids and were made to engage in acts of servitude including purchasing alcohol and tobacco.
